The short version: Bachano does not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal information. There is no server, no account, and no internet connection required. Everything you enter stays encrypted on your own phone.
1. Who we are
Bachano is a personal expense-tracking application for Android, developed and published by Phoenix Labs Pakistan. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Phoenix Labs Pakistan, and "the app" refers to Bachano.

2. Information we collect
We collect nothing. Bachano has no backend server, no analytics service, no advertising network, and no crash-reporting service. We do not know who you are, we cannot see your expenses, and we have no way to retrieve your data even if you asked us to.
All information you enter — expenses, income, account balances, loans, budgets and names — is written only to the storage area of your own device that belongs to Bachano. It is encrypted at rest using AES-256, with the key held in the Android Keystore of your phone.
3. Permissions and why the app asks for them
Every permission below is optional. If you decline any of them, Bachano still works — you simply enter that information by hand instead.

Speech recognition — a note
Bachano uses the speech-recognition component supplied by your phone's manufacturer or by Google. Depending on your device and its settings, that component may process speech on the device or send it to the provider's own servers under the provider's own privacy policy. Bachano has no control over and no visibility into that process. If you prefer that no audio ever leaves your phone, enable offline speech recognition in your Android settings, or decline the microphone permission and enter expenses by typing.
4. On-device AI
On a small number of supported phones, Bachano can use Google's on-device AI model (Gemini Nano) to better interpret an unusual sentence. This model runs entirely on the phone's own hardware. Nothing is sent to Google or to us. On devices that do not support it, this feature is simply absent and every other function works normally.
5. Sharing and disclosure
We do not share your information with anyone, because we never receive it in the first place. There are no third-party SDKs for advertising, analytics, attribution, or crash reporting in the app. No data is sold, rented, or transferred to any party under any circumstance.
The only time information leaves your phone is when you deliberately export it — a backup file or a PDF report — and choose where to send it. At that point the file is in your hands and this policy no longer governs it.
6. Data retention and deletion
Your data remains on your device for as long as the app is installed. To delete everything, either use Settings → Sab data mita dein inside the app, or uninstall Bachano. Uninstalling removes the app's encrypted storage along with it.
If you have enabled Android's own automatic backup, Android may keep a copy of the app's data in your Google Drive account, under your control, governed by Google's privacy policy. You can turn this off in your Android settings, and you can delete the copy from your Google account at any time. We have no access to it.
7. Children
Bachano is a general household budgeting tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.
8. Security
The app's database is encrypted with AES-256. The encryption key is generated on first launch and stored in the Android Keystore, which is backed by your device's secure hardware where available. You may additionally require a fingerprint or screen-lock to open the app.
No security measure is absolute. If your phone is unlocked and in someone else's hands, or if it has been rooted or otherwise compromised, the protections above can be defeated. Keep a screen lock on your phone, and keep your exported backup files somewhere private.
9. Your rights
Laws such as the GDPR grant rights of access, correction, portability and erasure over personal data held by a company. Because we hold no data about you, these rights are satisfied directly in the app: you can view, edit and delete every record yourself, and you can export all of it to a portable JSON file at any time.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, note it inside the app. Continuing to use Bachano after a change means you accept the updated policy.
